We’re always on the hunt for great people to give our guests exciting, memorable experiences. So if you think you’re the one, let us know!
Do you enjoy walking through Beijing’s hutongs? Are you passionate about Chinese food? Do you love sharing your knowledge of the city and her food with others? Do you want to earn money to eat? Then this job could be for you! Hias Gourmet is looking for fun, outgoing food lovers to host walking food tours in Beijing.
Hias Gourmet food tours are “non-tour” tours. No matching hats. No glaring loud speakers. No guide blankly rattling off 1000 facts. They are 2-3 hour food hunts through the heart of Beijing, giving guests a personal insight into the city and its food. Our goal is to go above and beyond the standard tourist experience, helping guests to access experiences and flavours that they wouldn’t get on another tour. We take them to the kind of places that locals love but which outsiders might miss or be too afraid to go into.
Our guests are typically well traveled and well versed in food and cookery. So it’s not just about feeding them or handing them a menu – it about connecting them to the story of China’s food. The tours are small – just you and six to eight guests.
Our guides work on a freelance/part time basis. Whether you have 3 hours spare a week or 20, we can set a schedule to match your availability. Our tours run both day and night, 7 days a week. So, this makes a fun way to earn extra money during the day, after work or on weekends. Our rates are competitive and you’ll often earn extra money from tips.
Send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org telling us about yourself and your experience in Beijing and China. We will then send you a questionnaire to complete.
Applications due: At any time.
